A good night all round for Labour. While losing the Mayoralty to Boris was disappointing (but considering the problems Ken had expected - guy will probably and should retire now), we made gains all over the country - almost gaining an overall majority on the London Assembly.
One should not of course draw too many conclusions from a local elections, which have their share of local issues and protest votes, but I'll happy take all our victories.
