The popularly-backed military coup in Egypt has removed a man who has heading in the same direction as Mubarak and proving that Islamism is not an effective ideology to run a country; however, it would have been preferable had he been removed through the ballot box.
I now hope that Egypt returns swiftly to peace and the all too brief democracy it gained in 2011.
